A Precious Gift

Salam Ramadhan 1444H

It is a great blessing to have reach this month. A month which everyone loves. Alhamdulillah.

Ramadhan is a precious gift from Allah to us. It is the best month to do self-reflection, self-betterment, self-refreshment and all the good things. Every good deed that we do, will be rewarded handsomely Insha’Allah. Every fasting days, every prayers, every charities will lead us to become a better person; for as long as we do them for the sake of Allah.

“Whoever wake up in the month of Ramadhan in his imaan (believe in Allah) and ikhtisab (counting his rewards, Allah’s grace, calculate his mistakes and thought about his negligence), Allah will forgive his sins.”

~Prophet Muhammad pbuh~

Therefore, Muslims shall strive to make the best out of this month – do more deeds, make more prayers, be kinder and abstain from bad habits. We would eventually learn to have more patience, have better control of ourselves, be calmer and have good discipline to Islamic practices (ibadah) at the end of Ramadhan. This will prepare us to face the upcoming months nonchalantly Insha’Allah.

The foundation to be a better Muslim is to perform the prayers/ibadah correctly and sincerely. If you’re struggling and still learning to perfect your prayers, it is okay. We were not born knowing everything. We learn bit by bit about the religion and get better with time. Allah counts every effort we take in seeking knowledge to improve our understanding of Islam. He will guide our way when we sincerely asking for His help.

Ramadhan is the month where prayers (dua) are accepted. So, ask anything you want from Allah. Keep praying every time you have free time. One good dua to repeat during this month is:

The best time to recite this dua are before breaking the fast and during suhoor (eating before the morning prayer) as well as during the last 10 nights of Ramadhan. Besides this, any good dua is fine. Allah is All Listening, He will be delighted to listen to our stories and wishes. He will surely respond to us in the most beautiful way.

May Allah accept our prayers, dua, ibadah and forgive our sins. May Allah guide us and keep us steadfast in Islam.

I pray everyone have a blessed Ramadhan. 🤍
